Interventions of WFP in Hajjah discussed

A meeting in Hajjah province was held to discuss the interventions of the World Food Program in the province.

The meeting, which included the director of the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Hajjah Allan Fadhael, and the director of the WFP in the Hajjah-Hodeida axis, discussed ways to enhance coordination and partnership with the Council to improve the humanitarian situation.

The meeting touched on the province's need for food in light of the continuation of the current situation and its repercussions on the humanitarian situation experienced by thousands of families not included in the food lists.

Rachael expressed the hope that the food program would expand its interventions in the province and give Hajjah priority the intervention plan for 2023.

He noted the efforts of the program office in Hajjah and the need for more support and attention by the main office due to the great need.

Fadhael pointed out the need to strengthen partnership and work on advocating for the province's needs in various sectors and overcoming shortcomings during the last period.

In turn, the Director of the World Food Program in the Hajjah-Hodeida axis appreciated the facilities of the province leadership and the branch of the Humanitarian Affairs Council to implement the program's interventions.

He pointed out that the aim of the visit is to enhance coordination and identify closely the needs and gaps that need to be worked on to improve humanitarian services.
