Fired several rockets at Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone on Tuesday as sporadic clashes, Iraqi security source announced.

The source said that the shells landed on the perimeter of a number of buildings inside the area," noting that fire broke out and smoke plumes were rising in the place.

Streets were mostly empty of ordinary people as gunmen cruised in pickup trucks carrying machine guns and brandishing grenade launchers.
