Islamic Relief Organization in Yemen said on Thursday it had distributed winter supplies to 1,495 families in Taiz province.

In a statement obtained by Yemen News Agency (Saba), the organization explained that this project, which is supported by its office in Britain, had targeted the families of orphans and poor families in order to alleviate their suffering during the winter.

Each family got two blankets, two mattresses, and a winter kit, which includes gloves, socks and two hats and scarves, the statement added.
