The Israeli occupation army has committed about 574 massacres since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, during which about 4,651 Palestinians were killed and 14,245 were injured. "165,000 damaged housing units were counted," head of the government media office in Gaza, Salama Marouf, said in a press conference on Sunday. Marouf added that 50 per cent of the housing units in the Gaza Strip were damaged by the bombing, and nearly 20,000 units were completely demolished by the occupation or became uninhabitable, while 72 government headquarters and dozens of public and service facilities were destroyed or damaged due to the occupation aggression. He noted that water, electricity and sewage networks were severely damaged, while the occupation continues to target educational institutions, as 176 schools were subjected to various damages, including 30 schools that were out of service. He said the total number of displaced people reached about 1.4 million citizens, half of whom are in the 220 shelter centers, while others are in hosting gatherings of relatives, friends, public facilities, and others. Marouf added that 20 aid trucks laden with basic needs entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing south of the Strip, 16 days after the aggression, while before that 500 trucks entered daily. He underscored that the occupation forces deliberately targets gatherings of citizens present in and around markets, bakeries, and shelter centers, destroying homes while their residents inside, and targeting churches and mosques, as it demolished 31 mosques and damaged 3 churches. He explained that the average casualties of the occupation aggression since the beginning of the aggression amounted to 50 cases per hour, ranging between injured and martyred. Marouf launched an urgent appeal to bring fuel supplies into Gaza to stop the disaster threatening hospitals, water pumping stations, sewage treatment, and all sectors in light of the continuing power outages.
