Joint meeting in Shura discusses aspects of humanitarian work

A joint meeting was held in the Shura Council on Saturday and included the Chairman of the Council’s Human Rights and Freedoms Committee, Haseba Shenif, and the Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Muhammad Faris.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to humanitarian work under the current circumstances due to the aggression and siege.

At the meeting, Shenif reviewed the committee’s plans and the tasks entrusted to it in providing the necessary advice and proposals to the relevant authorities aimed at developing work in accordance with the council’s legal and constitutional tasks and powers.

She stressed the importance of coordination and joint action in order to reach the development of plans and proposals that contribute to facilitating the work of the Supreme Council.

For his part, Faris reviewed some of the needs and requirements that the Supreme Council needs to carry out its tasks optimally and the difficulties it faces during the implementation of some projects for the beneficiaries.

The discussions emphasized the importance of working towards finding sustainable projects in the fields of health, water and services that contribute to meeting the needs of the target groups in the long term.
