Joint parliamentary-governmental meeting discusses performance of independent, attached funds

The joint parliamentary-governmental meeting, chaired by the Parliament Speaker, Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, discussed on Wednesday issues related to the performance of the independent and supplementary funds.

In the meeting, Al-Ra'i confirmed that the convening of these meetings comes within the framework of cooperation and integration between the constitutional authorities, which would assess the performance of the executive authorities and their commitment to applying laws and regulations in carrying out their tasks.

He pointed out that the meetings come to study the level of performance, know the achievements and failures, and the possibility of avoiding deficiencies and addressing imbalances, wherever they are, in order to find appropriate solutions to many of the problems that impede the workflow in some entities.

The Speaker of Parliament urged everyone to redouble their efforts and enhance the performance of tasks and duties in the most complete manner possible, calling on the members of Parliament to resume the sessions next Saturday to discuss the latest developments in the national, regional, and international arenas.

The discussions touched on the importance of addressing thorny issues related to improving services.
