RIYADH, The health committee of the Kuwait Relief Society has provided 55 tons of medical supplies and a number of ambulances to some Yemeni governorates.
Yemen's Health Minister Nasser Baoum received a delegation, led by the head of the committee Dr. Mohammad Al-Sharhan, in the southern city of Aden on Thursday.
During the meeting, Baoum expressed gratitude to the State of Kuwait and the Kuwaiti people for their generous support to Yemen, since the 1970s.
Al-Sharhan said that they visited Aden for the first time after the city was liberated in August 2015.
During the current visit, the second phase of health relief will be implemented providing medications and ambulances for the Yemeni people. The third will start next month to support the medical services in the country.
The aid has been ordered by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the "Humanitarian Leader", to alleviate the sufferings of the Yemeni people.
The delegation visited Al-Gumhouria Hospital and a host of medical facilities as well as the Yemeni Government's Higher Committee for Relief.
