Launching emergency interventions for flood damage in Hajjah city

In Hajjah province, emergency interventions were launched for the damage caused by torrential rains in the province center.

The Director General of the Engineering Unit in the province, Eng. Abdullah Al-Haddad, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that emergency interventions include the most affected area, west of Hoora, by draining water from the collapse area to safe areas.

He also indicated that work is under way to follow up on obtaining emergency funding for the implementation of permanent solutions by the Public Works Project through the implementation of protection walls and stairs to connect the torrent to the canal line.

Al-Haddad praised the role of the local council in the province center in implementing emergency interventions and the efforts of the local water and sanitation corporation in securing the main sewage line in the area, which has become vulnerable to interruption as a result of the collapse.
