Mechanism of facilitating customs exemptions for humanitarian aid discussed

Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) Ebrahim al-Hamli has discussed with head of the Customs Authority Yousef Zabara the coordination mechanism between the SCMCHA and the Authority in facilitating customs exemptions for humanitarian aid.

In the meeting, al-Hamli and Zabara touched on topics related to the implementation of the coordination mechanism in facilitating customs exemptions for humanitarian aid through the electronic cloud system for exemptions.

Al-Hamli pointed to the need to work to strengthen the general trend towards keeping pace with the existing developments in the field of using modern systems and technologies to facilitate transactions.

He pointed out that the cloud system for customs exemptions for humanitarian aid contributes to the delivery of humanitarian aid to those who deserve it.

For his part, Zabara pointed out the importance of the cloud system in improving and developing the work environment between the authority and the relevant authorities, particularly the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs.
