The Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education in Sana’a, Sunday, organized an event entitled “Medical education between national accreditation and international recognition, achievements and challenges “under the slogan” Universal entitlement is a national responsibility and an academic mission. ”
At the event, the Deputy Prime Minister for National Vision Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Junaid, express pride in the achievements and development plans of the Academic Accreditation Council and bring Yemen to the level it has achieved under the aggression and siege.
Al-Junaid considered one of the most important subjects is the topic of medical education, that must be addressed in terms of standards that contribute to the improvement of this type of education.
The focus on national accreditation was the basis for ensuring Yemen’s access to international entitlement by meeting the requirements and standards of international medical education bodies.
Al-Junaid stressed the importance of convening an urgent meeting chaired by the Prime Minister-President of the Supreme Council for Higher education to examine all the issues raised in the event and all the difficulties and challenges facing the Council and to develop and lift the necessary solution and elevated it to senior leadership.
He noted the need to inform the Supreme Political Council of the importance of the role of the Academic Accreditation Council and the criteria it prepares and implements for all educational fields, stressing the need to support the Council’s efforts and its financial and administrative independence and provision of the necessary budget for its operation.
