Meeting of National Military Committee with UN envoy’s military advisor

The National Military and Security Committee for Negotiations held a meeting today, Tuesday, with the military adviser to the UN envoy to Yemen, General Antony Hayward, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in the capital, Sana'a.

The meeting comes within the framework of international efforts and promises to stabilize the military and political situation in Yemen in light of the continued violations of the aggression.

The head of the Military Committee, Major General Yahya Abdullah Al-Razami, affirmed that it is not possible to remain silent about the ongoing violations of aggression since the end of the previous armistice.

He said, "We are still committed to restraint in order to establish peace, and if the other side does not rule the mind and has seriousness for peace, then we are ready to respond and deter, as we call for peace, not surrender."

Al-Razami stressed that the Yemeni people have the right to enjoy stability and safety and to benefit from its wealth and bounties.

He affirmed that the aggressors must stop the continuous plundering of Yemen's wealth, pay salaries, lift the siege on ports and airports, and stop the aggression urgently, unless the Yemeni army is able to take all the rights by force.

He also pointed out that the patience of the wise leadership may run out in light of international procrastination and recklessness, and therefore serious intentions must be shown to advance the peace process and force the aggression countries to stop their aggression and violations, open roads and crossings, and actually start addressing humanitarian files urgently.
