Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdulaziz Al-Komim on Thursday met in Sanaa with a high-level delegation from the Executive Office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
At the meeting, al-Komim noted to the importance of providing the necessary support to reduce the repercussions of the urgent humanitarian situation and assessing the projects carried out by the Fund.
The meeting dealt with the coordination aspects between the Ministry and the Fund, as well as the proposed programs for the coming period in the field of statistics, population and development.
The minister confirmed the keenness of the National Salvation Government to facilitate the mission of the UNFPA delegation to achieve the desired goals and tackle the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
The delegation members confirmed the Fund's readiness to increase the level of support directed to Yemen and give it priority in the Arab region.
