The Ministry of Fisheries on Thursday announced the opening of the season of catching coastal shrimp from the Yemen waters in the Red Sea region, starting from August 20 until further notice.

The Ministry of Fisheries obligated the General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea to monitor the nets used in shrimp fishing and to adhere to the nets with holes referred to in the law to give the stock an opportunity for renewal and sustainability.
