SANAA, The UNESCO National Committee on Thursday expressed strong disapproval to put Socotra Island in colonial conflict and ambitions aim of destroying it nature reserve and it lose it natural importance as one of the world's natural heritage sites listed on UNESCO's lists.

The Committee confirmed that it is following the developments of military events and confrontations in the island as a result of the presence of foreign forces of the SaudiUAE alliance.

The statement called the United Nations and UNESCO to quickly move to carry out its moral, humanitarian and legal responsibilities.
