Parliament renews its condemnation Zionist attacks on residential neighborhoods in Syria

Parliament renewed its condemnation of the repeated Zionist attacks on Syrian territory, the latest of which was targeting a number of residential neighborhoods in Damascus city, which led to kill and injury dozens of citizens.

In a statement issued by it, the Council denounced the Arab and international silence towards the arrogance practiced by the Zionist enemy entity and the continuous attacks on Damascus, which it considered a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of an independent Arab state.

The Council also considered the coincidence of these attacks with the catastrophe of the earthquake that struck many areas in the north of Syrian Arab Republic as a provocation to the feelings of Arabs and Muslims, and as a witness to the brutality and persistence of this enemy, with which recent years have witnessed the scrambling of some regimes to normalize relations with it.

The statement held the Security Council, the United Nations and the international community responsible for the legal, humanitarian and moral responsibility towards these blatant hostile actions, which are inconsistent with the Charter of the United Nations and all international norms and covenants.

The Council renewed the solidarity of Yemen's parliament, government and people with its brothers in Syrian Arab Republic, stressing Syria's right to respond to these blatant attacks.

Parliament called on the free Arab peoples and countries to support the Syrian people in confronting Zionist arrogance and intransigence, and to work to strengthen Arab solidarity.
