Speaker of Parliament Yahya al-Ra’i on Monday congratulated Hamouda al-Sabbagh on his re-election as the Speaker of the Syrian People’s Assembly.

In the cable he sent to his Syrian counterpart, the Speaker of the Parliament wished him good health, happiness and continued progress and success to serve the brotherly Syrian Arab people.

Al-Ra’i stressed the depth of the brotherly relations that bind the Yemeni and Syrian brotherly peoples, calling for the unification of Arab parliamentary positions in Arab and international forums, regarding the conspiracies against the Arab peoples in Yemen, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon that seek to pass suspicious projects aimed at destabilizing and dismantling Arab and Islamic ties.

He emphasized the importance of unifying the Arab ranks in the face of imperialist plans and projects.

Al-Ra’i expressed Yemen’s solidarity with the Syrian Arab people, the Palestinian Arab cause and all free Arab peoples, and its support for the efforts being made at the local, regional and international levels to preserve their security, stability, freedom and dignity.
