Parliament speaker Yahya al-Ra'i on Wednesday deplored the call of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to hold Yemeni consultations in Riyadh that is still killing the Yemeni people under the US auspice.
In a letter to the world Parliaments and the free peoples, al-Ra’i said others portray Riyadh as a dove of peace and not a country that had killed/is still killing the Yemeni people over the past seven years; moreover, it is still prevents the arrival of ships of oil derivatives and food and medicine as well.
He stressed that Yemen is with peace, not with the surrender that Saudi Arabia and its tools want, in a way that preserves Yemen's unity, security and sovereignty.
He added, "If Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council are serious, let them announce the cessation of the aggression and lift the siege.
Al-Ra'i said the call of the GCC like its predecessors that is one of the initiatives that aim to mislead public opinion and the international community, which the US and its tools in the region run according to its whims and interests at the expense of peoples who yearn for freedom and reject foreign tutelage."
The Parliament speaker appealed to all the free people in the parliaments of the world in the name of the Yemeni people to move seriously to support Yemen’s grievances and stop war crimes and siege that are committed against more than thirty million by the countries of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression.
He blamed the weak and shameful positions of the Security Council and the United Nations Secretary-General, , adding they could pressure towards a return to the path of international law and to distance themselves from continuing their ignorance, their constant disregard and their shameful silence towards the grievances of the Yemeni people.
Al-Ra’i strongly denounced the blatant bias of international institutions in favor of the countries of the Saudi-Emirati aggression against Yemen.
In his letter, he said "The Security Council, the United Nations, and the institutions and bodies affiliated with them have proven beyond any reasonable doubt over the course of seven years, their lack of legal, moral and humanitarian responsibility, their lack of credibility and their respect for international law and human rights principles in their dealing with the injustices of the Yemeni people." ".
He added, "International institutions and bodies have shown the extent of their contradiction and imbalance through the policy of double standards, as they always take the initiative to condemn the victim represented by the Yemeni people and their leadership when they defend their people and the sovereignty of their lands, while turning a blind eye to the criminal and executioner who destroyed Yemen and killed its children, women, youth and elderly and eliminated its infrastructure."
He considered condemning the victim and condoning the executioner, making international institutions and bodies partners in legitimizing criminals and murderers and providing the cover that defends the Saudi-Emirati criminal alliance supported by the US, Britain and the Zionist entity to continue to commit more massacres and war crimes against an entire people, most notably the writing off the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Saudi Arabia is on the list of shame for killing the children of Yemen, in a dangerous precedent without shame.
The Parliament speaker asked, “Is there anything worse than this excuse, absurdity and nonsense that places international institutions on the list of earning, ...in addition to neglecting the humanitarian situation and legal, moral and humanitarian responsibilities in working to save the lives of millions of children and women from the brink of death, as a result of the policy of tightening the blockade and preventing entry of fuel, medicine and food ships.
He held the Security Council, the United Nations, and their bodies and organizations responsible for the crimes committed by the aggression countries in Yemen.
Speaker al-Ra’i blamed the Security Council for giving the aggression countries the international cover to launch raids, kill civilians and burn and destroy their property.
The letter touched on the extent of the contradiction revealed by the Russian-Ukrainian war and the fall of the masks of falsehood that the US, Britain and Western countries have always chanted, ignoring the suffering of the Yemeni people for more than seven years, while they mobilized all their capabilities to maintain their hegemony over the world, forgetting their crimes and the horrific massacres they committed in Palestine. Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Libya.
