Washington, Iran fired more than a 22 ballistic missiles from Iranian territory on two Iraqi military bases hosting U.S. and international coalition forces, the Pentagon announced.

"We are working on a preliminary assessment of the damage," Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said in a statement, noting that the two target bases are Ain al-Assad Air Base and another base in Erbil.
