PM chairs meeting to review Transport Ministry’s activities

Prime Minister Abdulaziz bin Habtoor chaired on Wednesday a meeting to discuss ways to develop the institutional performance of the transport ministry and its affiliated bodies in a way that enhances their roles in serving the country and the citizens.

The meeting touched on the achievement progress of the Ministry and its affiliated bodies’ annual plans and programs and the projects of the 2nd phase plan of the National Vision.

The meeting also touched on the progress of the implementation of projects in Sana’a Airport and the continuous operations to restore its pivotal role in facilitating the citizens’ travel and repair the airport infrastructure damaged by the aggression.

The officials also discussed the Ministry’s efforts to improve the readiness of the ports of Hodeida and Saleef in addition to the projects that have carried out by the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation in the port of Hodeida, amid the United Nations’ carelessness in implementing the port rehabilitation program and providing equipment to replace the ones destroyed by the aggression despite the availability of the required funds.

The Prime Minister praised all the efforts made by the ministry and its bodies to alleviate the citizens’ suffering from the aggression and siege.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Transport bears a great burden during the current exceptional time, which requires the support and assistance of all the government agencies to overcome the current challenges.

The Prime Minister stressed that the efforts of everyone in this ministry and the government in general are appreciated by the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council.
