SANAA, Prime Minister and Head of Supreme Council for Higher Education Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Habtoor met Saturday in Sanaa with the President of the University of Ibb, Dr. Tariq Al-Mansoub.
Al-Mansoub handed him a report on the University's activities for the current academic year and its next development plan.
The meeting discussed the conditions of the university and its educational and academic activities, as well as its efforts to fulfill its obligations to society, especially in light of the increase in the number of students coming from neighboring provinces to study, as a result of the US-saudi coalition's war and aggression on our Yemeni people.
The Prime Minister listened to the presentation by the President of the University, on the current conditions of the University and the most important developmental and expansion projects to be started during the coming period.
He pointed to the existing procedures to address a number of issues and problems associated with the university and its cognitive and academic functions, some of which call for the support of the Prime Minister, the President of the Supreme Council for Higher Education.
The Prime Minister praised the national played by Ibb University as a state-run higher education institution that is always striving for excellence in the exercise of its educational, cognitive and enlightenment functions.
He praised the leadership of the university and the deans of the faculties and heads of departments for all their efforts of quality towards the students of the university and their commitment to quality standards.
He stressed the support of the government and the Supreme Council of Higher Education for the university, its the various activities, programs and plans for development either current or future.
He wished the university, its leadership and all its staff permanent success in the performance of tasks and duties academic and research, stressing on on the importance of taking into account the social responsibility of the University towards its surroundings to contribute to the search for solutions to the existing problems.
