SANAA, Prime Minister Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Habtoor along with Deputy Prime Minister for Development and Economic Affairs Dr. Hussein Makbouli and Minister of Youth and Sports Hassan Zeid on Thursday honored the Wahda Club at the capital Sanaa the heroes in second Winter Forum.
More than 800 athletes participated in the forum, organized by the Sanaa's Whada Club, representing the clubs of the capital Sanaa, universities, companies, communities, orphanages, civil society organizations, secretariat schools and institutes.
The two-month event included football games, basketball, table tennis, field tennis, taekwondo, judo, karate and kickboxing, as well as cultural and feminist activities.
During the honor ceremony, Dr. Ben Habtoor considered the establishment of sports activities as a message to the world that Yemen's youth and athletes continue to exercise their activities despite the current circumstances due to the continued US-saudi-backed aggression and siege.
He praised the interaction of participants in the forum which included various activities and activities.
Minister Zeid praised the role played by the Sanaa Wahda Club and its efforts in organizing the forum.
Ahly Sanaa team won the championship championship on the Martyr Al-Samad football Cup, despite draw of a positive goal in a meeting held with their traditional rival Wahda on the stadium in the seventh and final round.
With this tie, Al-Ahly lifted its lead to 19 points, taking the championship, while Al-Wahda added a point to its balance.
After the game, the Prime Minister, together with the Deputy Prime Minister for Development and Economic Affairs, the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Mayor of the Capital Sanaa, local Council Secretary General and a number of officials, honored the winners of the second Forum participating in various games and activities.
