PM stresses importance of concerted efforts to support social welfare sector

Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, on Saturday stressed the importance of concerted efforts of the government and humanitarian organizations working in Yemen to support the social welfare sector to alleviate the suffering of the poor.

During his meeting today with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor for the Social Welfare Sector, Ali Abdullah Jarran, Dr. bin Habtoor noted to the need to focus on income-generating projects, praising the ministry’s activity and its affiliates.

In the meeting, Jarran reviewed the most important tasks and activities to be implemented by the social welfare sector in the ministry for the year 1444 AH, in addition to the projects accomplished during the past year.

Jarran pointed to the importance of the government and humanitarian organizations’ support for social welfare projects to alleviate the suffering of poor families affected by the aggression and siege.
