HODIEDAH, Acting Governor of Hodeidah Mohammad Kuheem and Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy Abdul Ghani al-Madani discussed Sunday with Director of UNDP"s Office in Hodeidah the possibility of support provided by the UNDP to restart the electricity power in Hodeidah.

The meeting reviewed the difficulties facing the electricity of Hodeidah, as a result of the US-saudi aggression and siege, and suffering of citizens as a result of the power failure, especially in the summer.

The meeting stressed the importance of preparing an integrated study on the cost of rehabilitating the power stations in Ras Katheeb, Haly and Corniche, the operational budget of each station, in addition to the positive impact on health, environment and water aspects.

The meeting approved the assignment of a specialized team in electricity field to prepare the plan and discuss it with the program to work on its implementation before entering the summer of this year.
