President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi Al-Mashat on Monday met in Sana'a with the United Nations Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen William David Grisley.
During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Yemen and aspects of cooperation with United Nations organizations in the humanitarian field.
President Al-Mashat stressed that the United Nations should play its role in pressing for the re-opening of Sana'a International Airport and the port of Hodeida, and the neutralization of the national economy.
He directed the government to overcome the difficulties may face the UN organizations to enable them to perform their tasks, calling at the same time the United Nations to redouble efforts to alleviate the increasing humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the continual US-Saudi aggression and siege.
