SANAA, President Mahdi al-Mashat met Tuesday with Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Ahmad al-Mutawakil.

During the meeting, they discussed the matrix of judicial reforms included in the draft national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.

The meeting discussed the draft national vision to strengthen the role of the judiciary and the rule of law and to improve the situation of courts and prosecutors in order to enable them to accomplish their tasks to the fullest.

President Al-Mashat stressed the importance of providing all forms of support to the judiciary as a priority for achieving justice and the speed of adjudication of cases, as confirmed by the National Vision for State Building.

He stressed the importance of doubling efforts, improving the level of performance and the completion of citizens' issues first, noting the role of the Supreme Judicial Council and its efforts in this regard.
