SANAA, President, Mahdi al-Mashat,met Wednesday in the capital Sanaa with the Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Taha al-Mutawakel.
During the meeting, they discussed the difficult health conditions facing the country as a result of the US-saudi coalition's aggression, the damage caused to the infrastructure of the health sector as well as the shortage of medicines due to the siege.
The President was briefed on the Ministry's plans to tackle obstacles and problems, to combat the cholera epidemic and its efforts deployed to improve the level of medical services in public centers and hospitals, as well as to oversee the health services of private hospitals.
The President stressed the need to raise the level of medical personnel and to provide the health sector with qualified and trained cadres to enhance the level of health services and reduce travel abroad, especially in light of the continued aggression and siege.
