SANAA, The President of the Supreme Political Counci, Mahdi Al-Mashat, delivered a speech on the occasion of September 21st Revolution anniversary.
In the speech, the President congratulates the Yemeni People for the national occasion. He also congratulates the Army, the Popular Committees and all the tribes who are fighting with them on various frontlines. The President also applaud the launching ofprojects in the military field, raising the level of training of the Yemeni fighter, developing military strategies and plans, building and developing military industrialization and all requirements of the military battle, by Yemeni minds and arms.
President al-Mashat renewed the amnesty for former collaborators with the Saudi-led invaders. He called on all misled individuals and leaders to take advantage of this opportunity and return to the bosom of the homeland and to do the right thing.
In a speech marking the fifth anniversary of the September 21st revolution, President Mahdi Al-Mashat launched a peace initiative in which he called on all parties from all sides of the war to engage seriously in real and serious negotiations leading to comprehensive national reconciliation that does not exclude any party to inject Yemeni blood. He declared to stop targeting Saudi Arabia by drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles.
We are waiting for the same or better response in a similar announcement to stop all forms of targeting and aerial bombardment of our Yemeni territory and reserve the right to respond if this initiative is not met, he said.
We affirm that the continuation of the war will not be in anyone's interest, but may lead to serious developments that we do not want to take, although we are certain that its greatest harm will not be on us, but on the countries of aggression in the first place, primarily and directly, he added.
President al-Mashat also called on the countries of aggression to immediately lift the ban on Sana'a International Airport, to stop intercepting ships bound for the port of Hodeidah and to respect the suffering of the Yemeni people.
President al-Mashat stated that our military capabilities are witnessing spectacular developments both on the fronts and at the level of training and building up the reserve force.
In return, we call for the payment of the deficit and for the delivery of salaries of employees throughout all governorates of the Republic of Yemen.
The President of Yemen called on the United Nations verification and inspection mechanism to join its work at the port of Hodeidah.
