The Director of the Office of the President of the Republic, Ahmed Hamed, and with him, Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Dr. Hussein Makbouli, inaugurated today, on Wednesday, at the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, a project to exchange prosthetic devices and medical aids for people with disabilities, amounting to one billion and 500 million riyals.
President’s Office Director pointed out that the visit to the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, to see closely the conditions of the Fund and the disabled, and to feel their concerns and problems, comes as an embodiment of this interest in the Fund, as it is the entity concerned with providing support and financing programs for this segment in all fields.
For his part, the Executive Director of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Ali Nasser, explained that the prosthetic devices that will be provided include mobility aids and educational aids for people with disabilities (wheelchairs, headphones, prosthetic limbs, artificial joints, Braille library) in the capital Sana’a and the rest of the provinces.
He pointed out that the Fund for the Disabled seeks to open wide horizons of rehabilitation and economic empowerment programs for persons with disabilities and to make a qualitative shift in the service and care of persons with disabilities, integrating them into society and enabling them to enjoy their rights with the highest quality and lowest cost in accordance with the quality standards that we seek to implement in all the Fund’s services.
The modern automated system of the ERB Fund for the Disabled was also reviewed.
