Prisoners’ Affairs Committee condemns aggression’s targeting of prisoner’s prison perimeter

The National Committee for Prisoners' Affairs condemned on Thursday the targeting by the US-Saudi aggression of the vicinity of the prisoners' prison in the Central Security Command building with several raids.

In a statement received by Saba, the committee stated that the deliberate targeting of the prison caused the destruction of some of its facilities, and a state of great panic among the prisoners, who numbered more than three thousand prisoners of the aggression.

The statement stressed that the prison was known to the countries of the aggression and had previously been informed of it through international organizations and the International Committee of the Red Cross more than two years ago.

He pointed out that this targeting came hours after the International Committee of the Cross visited the prison, holding the countries of aggression fully responsible for the lives and safety of the prisoners.

The committee called on the United Nations and its organizations operating in Yemen to take serious and effective action to protect the prisoners ensure that they are not targeted, and take the necessary measures to hold the coalition leadership accountable for this criminal targeting.
