The researcher Yahya Jahaf recently published a book entitled "Popular Markets in Yemen".
Head of the Union of Yemeni writers and writers in the Sanaa branch praised, poet Mohammed Al-Qaoud, in presenting the book the contents of the book, considering the book a special addition for the Arab and Yemeni library and a unique scientific study in this field.
The book, issued in (159) pages includes seven chapters: Chapter I dealt with the linguistic definition of the market, the scientific importance in studying the popular markets in Yemen and their relationship to the Arab traditions and their life style, the history of markets, relationship of markets to trade, the importance of position of markets, market controls and ethics of Arabs in this regard and the characteristics of seasonal markets.
.Chapter II focuses on Laws and legislation of Yemeni commercial markets in ancient times, while the third chapter deals with the historical markets and geography of Yemen, the role of markets in the movement of historical society and the famous markets of Yemen
The fourth chapter devoted to the characteristics of the Yemeni popular markets.
The fifth chapter focuses on the places and times of Yemeni markets, while the sixth address the markets in tribal tradition and Yemeni proverbs, Chapter VII was devoted to the impact of the US-backed saudi-led aggression coalition' attack on markets in Yemen, in addition to a special annex to the pictures.
The researcher and writer Yahya Mohammed Jahaf is one of the most prominent Yemeni researchers in the popular heritage, and has a number of publications and other books are still non-printed.
