SANAA, Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed his country's rejection to the US President Donald Trump's comments on the occupied Syrian Golan.
During a joint press conference with the head of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyip Erdogan held yesterday evening in Moscow.
Putin pointed out that Russia is committed to the UN resolutions relating to the status of the occupied Syrian Golan and rejects the decision of the President of the United States on it.
He added that the guarantors of the Astana process will continue their efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria in accordance with UN resolution 2254, which stresses the need to preserve its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
"The problem of Idlib is difficult and its solution is a sine qua non for creating favorable conditions for the political process in Syria through joint efforts between Moscow and Ankara," Putin said.
Putin said that Moscow will continue to cooperate within the platform of Astana to move forward this process, noting that the priority is to rebuild and intensify efforts to create conditions conducive to the return of displaced Syrians to their country.
