SAUDI ARABIA CALLS FOR DELEGATING MORE EXPERTS TO HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION’S OFFICE, IN YEMEN

GENEVA, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, called for delegating more experts to Yemen-based Human Rights Commission's Office, in order to back up workings of the Independent National Committee, in verifying tasks, to identify circumstances of violations and trespasses, committed on the ground.

This was unfolded, as the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the European UN Office, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wassel, addressed here today, the 34th session of the Human Rights Council, in session, now.

Al-Wassel pointed to the Kingdom's lauding of the Yemeni government's stances, backing UN-exerted endeavours, to realise peace and mitigate suffering of the Yemenis, reiterating the Kingdom's unflinching position, in calling the international community, to, peacefully, support Yemeni legitimate and internationally recognised government, in order to resume the peace process, in accordance with the agreed upon terms of reference, that would guarantee stability, security, national unity and territorial integrity of Yemen, on the one hand, and foil machinations of the putschists and militias, seeking to subvert the country and warning of dealing with either, to avoid being stained up, as being backing them and their nefarious scheme.
