The air defenses shot down on Saturday morning an armed spy plane of the Saudi Air Force while it was violating the armistice in the airspace of Hajjah province.

Official spokesman for the armed forces Brigadier General Yahya Sarie explained in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency that the air defenses managed to shoot down a Turkish-made spy plane of "Karyal" type belonging to the Saudi Air Force while it was carrying out hostile missions in the airspace of Hiran area in Hajjah.

He said that the shooting down the plan was carried out with a locally made surface-to-air missile, which has not been disclosed yet.

Brigadier General Sarie affirmed that the armed forces are ready to respond to any breach or aggression by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition forces.

He said that such attacks confirm the aggression coalition's lack of commitment to the armistice.
