Saudi-Backed Mercenaries Accused of Selling Prisoners, Transferring Them to Saudi Arabia

Aden:The Head of the National Committee for Prisoners' Affairs, Abdulqader Al-Murtada, has reported confirmed instances of Saudi-backed mercenaries in Aden selling prisoners from recent battles. These prisoners were then allegedly transferred by Saudi Arabia to Mukalla and subsequently to Saudi Arabia.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Murtada condemned the action as a crime against prisoners and highlighted it as a significant indication of the mercenaries' dependence on Saudi Arabia. He criticized those who claim to be the legitimate government for their lack of independent decision-making, particularly concerning prisoner affairs.

Al-Murtada asserted that Saudi Arabia bears full responsibility for the prisoners' lives and safety across various fronts. He urged the International Committee of the Red Cross to investigate the matter, apply pressure on Saudi Arabia to reveal the prisoners' locations, and ensure access to verify their safety.
