Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Friday underlined that it is necessary to lift the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip and help ensure relief and humanitarian aid to civilians.

The Saudi minister made the remark in a phone conversation with UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, during which they tackled the latest developments of Gaza and international efforts in this regard, the Saudi Foreign Minister said in a press release.

He reiterated the kingdom's rejection of targeting civilians in any form, and the need for an immediate cessation of military escalation.
