Save Children interventions in Hajjah health sector in Hajjah discussed

A meeting in Hajjah discussed on Wednesday Save the Children interventions in the health sector in the province and ways to expand them to meet the existing need.

The meeting, which included the director of the branch of the Supreme Council in the province, Allan Fadhail, and the nutrition advisor in Save the Children - Sana'a office, Bijoy Sarker, reviewed the governorate's need to intervene in 120 health facilities that no humanitarian partner had intervened in over the past years.

In the presence of the Director of Planning in the Public Health and Population Office, Dr. Yahya Al-Madhaji, and the Coordinator for Program Development and Quality, Fathi Gran, he touched on aspects of expanding child care interventions in the districts most in need and providing medicines to the facilities involved in them on a regular basis, and the urgent need for advocacy; For humanitarian action partners to play the role assigned to them in providing health services.

He stressed the need to strengthen partnership with the Council branch, taking into account the rehabilitation of some health facilities with priority for their interventions during the coming period, and strengthening internal grants to be able to face emergency and urgent interventions.

In the meeting, Fadhail indicated the interest of the leadership of the governorate and the Supreme Council in sustainable childcare interventions that touch people's suffering, and that the visit contributes to improving medical services provided to the displaced and affected people.

In turn, Sarker appreciated the facilities provided by the leadership of the governorate and the council branch to implement the activities and interventions of the organization, pointing out that the aim of the visit is to see the progress of the activities currently implemented and to work on developing them. To provide better medical services to beneficiaries.

He clarified the size of the great need that he felt during his field visit, and his intention to raise the need and work on the advocacy side to meet one part of it.
