The Ministry of Interior announced Thursday the seizure of large quantities of drugs and a plant for the recycling and packaging of these substances in one of the homes in the capital Sana'a.
The Interior indicated a statement received by SABA that the seizure was carried out by the General Anti-Narcotics Administration, in coordination with the specialized criminal prosecution.
Seized drugs included tons, 305 kilograms of cannabis, 5 kilograms and 984 grams of cappagon pills, kilograms of heroin, kilo, and nine grams of narcotic stimulant.
Five persons had been arrested following the operation.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Abdulkhaliq al-Ajri, explained that the seizure of these quantities of drugs came after careful investigation and follow-up operations and gathering of evidence, began to seize 200 molds hidden in a Dina type car, coming from areas of aggression control and its mercenaries to the capital Sana'a, and ending with the raid on the house containing these quantities.
Al-Ajri reaffirmed that security personnel and the General Anti-Narcotics Administration would stand up to drug gangs and protect society from their dangers.
