Series of Airstrikes and Artillery Shelling Mark Dark Day in Yemeni History


Sana’a: On this day, the air forces of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression targeted populated areas, farms, food warehouses, trucks, and prisons in several provinces, leading to casualties, injuries, and significant destruction of public and private property.



According to Yemen News Agency, on October 30, 2015, the aggression’s aircraft launched an airstrike on the Asfan area and two airstrikes on poultry farms in the Jihana District of Sana’a Province, causing damage to homes and property. Airstrikes also targeted food warehouses and shops in Haidan city, Saada Province, and launched multiple attacks on the Al-Qam’ area in Kitaf District.



Further airstrikes were reported in the Madhab area in Al-Safra District, with citizens’ homes and property destroyed, including a mosque in the Al-Sharat area of Saqeen District. The Al-Nahdain area in Al-Sabeen District was also targeted, causing damage to numerous homes, and 11 airstrikes on the Al-Mahqara area in Sanhan District resulted in damage to farmland and sheep pastures.



In 2016, 60 citizens were martyred, and 38 others injured due to airstrikes on the security prison of Al-Zaidiyah District in Al-Hodeida Province. Additional airstrikes hit the Al-Hujaylah area in Bajil District, causing further casualties. Several airstrikes in Shada District of Saada Province resulted in five deaths and three injuries, including a child.



The aggression continued in subsequent years, with significant attacks reported on October 30, 2017. Airstrikes in Al-Matammah District of Al-Jawf Province resulted in the deaths of citizens Akram Ali Yahya Bahidh and Khaled Ali Hassan Al-Azab. The aircraft also launched multiple airstrikes across various districts in Sana’a, Hajjah, and Saada Provinces, causing considerable material damage.



In 2018, two passengers were injured when an airstrike targeted a bus in Al-Bayda Province. The aggression’s aircraft also launched airstrikes on Al-Dhaher District and various areas in Saada and Jizan. The following year, in 2019, a citizen was martyred due to artillery shelling in Al-Hodeida Province, with multiple other areas being heavily shelled.



October 30, 2020, saw airstrikes in areas near Najran, Marib Province, and Al-Jawf Province, while mercenaries continued artillery shelling in Al-Hodeida Province. The cycle of violence persisted in 2021, with airstrikes in Marib and Saada Provinces and artillery shelling in Al-Hodeida, causing further casualties and damage.



On October 30, 2022, Hays District experienced eight airstrikes by spy aircraft, while mercenaries established combat fortifications and shelled multiple areas in Al-Tuhita District. The relentless aggression has left a trail of destruction and loss across Yemen, with ongoing attacks continuing to impact the lives of countless citizens.
