SANAA, At least seven people in a family were killed, when Saudi-led coalition air strike hit the family house and adjoining mosque, in Yemen's northern province of Amran, Monday, local medics said.

The victims included four children, one medic said.

The house and the mosque were reduced to the ground by three airstrikes, said residents.

Late Sunday night, the Houthi al-Masirah TV reported 27 coalition airstrikes on three northern provinces.

Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Sarea, described the new wave of airstrikes as dangerous escalation just two days after the Houthi leader, Mahdi al-Mashat, proposed that both Houthi and Saudi sides should halt missile attacks and engage in peace process.

The Houthis last week claimed responsibility for drone attacks on two major plants of Saudi Aramco, that temporarily halted half of Saudi oil output. The kingdom blamed Iran for standing behind the attacks, which Iran denied.
