Shura Council condemns aggression’s failure to adhere to declared armistice

Shura Council strongly condemned on Wednesday the aggression coalition's failure to implement the terms of the agreed-upon armistice announced by the United Nations early in April.

In a statement, the Council deplored the aggression coalition's insistence and continued closure of Sana'a International Airport and preventing the arrival of the first announced flights, as well as the continuation of maritime piracy on oil-loaded ships.

The aggression coalition's blatant intransigence and evasion of abiding by the terms of the armistice and its persistence in the siege of the Yemeni people constitute a war crime that is added to the series of crimes it has committed and continues to commit against the Yemeni people for eight years, the statement read.

The Shura Council indicated that the continuation of the aggression coalition in this aggressive approach and putting obstacles in the way of flights to and from Sana’a International Airport, preventing the arrival of oil derivatives ships to the port of Hodeida and the continuation of field violations on a daily basis confirms that the aggression coalition’s premeditated hostile intentions to thwart all peace efforts.

It called on the United Nations to stand responsibly towards all the unjustified actions of the aggression that hinder the peace process in Yemen
