The Economic Committee of the Shura Council held a meeting today, chaired by Council Speaker Muhammad Hussein Al-Aidarous.

The meeting, in the presence of the Vice-Chairman of the Council, Muhammad Hussein Al-Durra, the Chairman of the Economic Committee, Muhammad Al-Jalal, members of the committee ,a number of members of the Council, and the Secretary-General of the Council, Ali Abdel-Moghni, reviewed the draft report of the committee on indicators of economic and financial stability.

The meeting touched on the indicators of gross domestic product (GDP) and the increase in production of goods and services in the field of industry, trade, construction and development, as well as indicators of growth rates in the field of service production in the transportation, transportation, freight and unloading sectors and other service sectors.

The Chairman of the Council stressed the importance of benefiting from the outputs of the training program on preparing reports, consultations, and the experiences of academics and specialists in economic affairs when preparing the report.

He pointed to the necessity of coordination and cooperation with the Finance Committee and the relevant authorities in preparing reports on urgent developments in the arena in economic and financial affairs, including the issue of forgotten transfers, their causes and implications.
