Shura Council meeting discusses difficulties facing Water Ministry

The Local Authority and Services Committee of Shura Council held a meeting today, on Monday, headed by Council Chairman Muhammad Hussein Al-Aidarous.
The meeting, in the presence of the Vice-President of the Council, Muhammad Al-Durra, the Chairman of the Committee, Abdullah Mujidi, and the Rapporteur of the Committee, Salah Al-Dhubaibi, discussed issues related to the difficulties facing the Ministry of Water and Environment and its affiliated institutions.
The meeting, which included the Undersecretary of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects, Yahya Al-Shami, the Director of the Local Water Corporation in the Capital Municipality, Muhammad Al-Shami, and the Director of Planning at the Ministry, Wassama Al-Areqi, reviewed the data received from the Ministry of Water related to the Ministry’s projects and the difficulties facing their implementation.
The meeting touched on the treatment plant project and the reasons that led to its failure, and it was stressed the need to include it in the committee’s report and to develop appropriate recommendations and proposals to be submitted to the concerned authorities to follow up on the completion of the project due to the importance it represents.
He stressed the importance of concerted efforts to translate the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council into reality, in a way that contributes to providing services to the citizen.
For his part, the Vice-President of the Council stressed the importance of coordinating efforts between state authorities and institutions in a way that contributes to developing performance and improving services provided to society in light of the aggression and the unjust siege.
While the head of the local authority committee in the council stressed the need to provide the committee with all the necessary data and reports on the difficulties facing the ministry to be included in the committee’s report and to submit the appropriate recommendations.
