A joint meeting of the Shura Council chaired by the Chairman of the Committee on Information, Culture, Youth and Sports, Fatima Mohammed, discusses Sunday difficulties in the work of the Public Authority for the Conservation of Historic Cities.
The meeting, which brought together the members of the Committee and the agent of the Authority Wade’a Jahaf, reviewed the Authority’s plan for the year 1444 AH relating to the historic city of Sana’a, and the scale of damage caused to a number of houses in the city as a result of direct and indirect targeting by aggression.
He addressed a number of problems facing the historic city as a result of indiscriminate updates and armed construction after the demolition of old houses and sanitation problems that threaten many homes.
The meeting underscored the importance of working towards strengthening the community company to protect the historic Sana’a and develop initiatives to provide all forms of support to the city.
The meeting valued the Chamber of Commerce’s national initiative in support of the historic city of Sana’a.
The meeting approved a number of joint actions between the Commission and the Authority for submission to the relevant bodies.
