A meeting was held in Sana’a, chaired by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ahmed al-Shawtri, discussed on Monday the situation of the Yemeni Company for Salt Refining and Packing.
The meeting reviewed ways and mechanisms for restarting the salt refining plant in Hodeida province and the arrangements for calling the company’s general assembly meeting.
Al-Shawtri stressed the necessity of preserving the company’s assets and properties and re-maintaining the equipment according to an engineering plan for the operation of the factory and for the benefit of the shareholders and the national economy.
He stressed the concerted efforts of all to restore the company to its position and to pursue legal procedures against those involved in looting and destroying its assets.
The meeting approved the development of a technical and financial operational plan to restart al-Salif salt plant in Hodeida and protect the company’s trademark .
