Head of al-Jumhori Hospital Authority in Hajjah province Dr. Ibrahim al-Ashwal discussed on Monday with a Spanish representative of Doctors Without Borders Nicolas mental health interventions in the province.

In the meeting, al-Ashwal and Nicolas stressed the need to expand the scope of interventions in mental health to raise the level of services in this field.

Al-Ashwal pointed out the vacuum formed by MSF after its agreement license has been expired.

He stressed the importance of expanding support during the next stage to alleviate the suffering of patients, especially in light of the difficult conditions the country is going through.

Al-Ashwal called on organizations and humanitarian partners to provide support to the health sector in the province.

The head of the authority and the MSF representative were briefed on the level of health services provided in the authority’s centers and its departments.
