Supreme Political Council member Sultan al-Samee on Monday affirmed the keenness of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to push the wheel of education forward, eradicate illiteracy and overcome the challenges imposed by the aggression and its mercenaries, including stopping paying salaries.
During his visits to the literacy centers of Hawl al-Dhaha and the October 14th in al-Taezeyah district, Al-Samee pointed to the conspiracy of the aggression and its mercenaries to make the Yemeni people illiterate to be able to impose their guardianship and to control Yemen’s political decision and plunder its wealth.
He was briefed by Director of the Literacy and Adult Education Office in Taiz province Fekri Dabwan on the achievements of the office, which receive 10,000 male and female students, in 470 centers at the province level, including of Bilal’s grandchildren (marginalized people).
Al-Samee got acquainted with the challenges facing the work of the Literacy Office as a result of the aggression and the siege, which hinders the expansion of literacy programs.
He urged the concerted efforts of the public and private sectors to reduce illiteracy, calling on the local authority and relevant authorities to build a real partnership in to ensure the reduction of illiteracy.
