Speaker of the Parliament Yahya Al-Ra'i sent on Thursday a cable of congratulations to the Speaker of the Omani Shura Council, Khalid bin Hilal Al-Maawali, on the occasion of the brotherly Omani people's celebrations of the National Day.

In the Sultanate of Oman, the country celebrates its National Day every year on the eighteenth of November; it celebrates its independence from the Portuguese occupation.
