SANAA, Speaker of the Parliament Yahya al-Ra'i on Wednesday affirmed the importance of strengthening the unity of the national ranks to meet the challenges and losing bets that aim at ruining the social unity in Yemen.
Al-Ra'i called during his meeting with the president of the tribal cohesion council, Sheikh Daifallah Rassam, and a number of leaders of the council to unite all efforts in preserving the homeland, its security and stability, and not neglecting national sovereignty.
He called on the Yemeni people to support the fronts until achieving the victory.
He pointed to the historical role represented by the Yemeni tribes as a strategic reserve in the face of the invaders and occupiers, stressing that Yemen is the cemetery of the invaders throughout history.
The Speaker of Parliament praised the efforts of the tribal cohesion council in supporting the fronts, defending national sovereignty, the dignity of Yemenis and serving national issues.
For his part, the President of council said the Yemeni tribes refuse to be humiliated and that represents a safety valve to repel the aggression and thwart their plans.
He pointed out that the Yemeni tribe has proved today that it is the fortified fortress and the safety valve of the homeland in the face of US-saudi-backed aggression coalition.
He pointed out that the document of tribal honor prepared by the tribal cohesion council and blessed by the president of the Supreme Political Council was found to consolidate the principles and national constants, and to confirm the role of the Yemeni tribes in making historical changes in the defense of the homeland and its sovereignty, security and stability.
He pointed out that the document of tribal honor strengthens the internal front to confront aggression, and embodies the principles and values that characterize the Yemeni tribe.
He stressed the importance of standing alongside the political leadership and the executive and legislative authorities.
He called on the Yemeni free men to play their roles in deepening national unity and mobilization to confront aggression on various fronts.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Council delivered to the Speaker of Parliament and his Deputy Abdul Salam Hashwal copies of the tribal honor document to consolidate the national constants.
