Stopping aggression, lifting blockade is right basis for any peace process: Al-Mashat

Posted on July 8, 2022 By Web Desk

President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi Al-Mashat on Friday confirmed that the right basis for any future peace process is the cessation of aggression and the lifting of the siege on Yemen, starting with the total and immediate opening of the Sana'a International Airport, the port of Hodeida, and pay employees' salaries, from oil and gas revenues.

President Al-Mashat said in his address this evening on the occasion of Eid Al-Adhha 1443 A.H., "The stage in which we are living under the international changes and crises caused by America, it is imperative for us a state and a people to trust God and move with great seriousness to work, produce and build, and to pay attention to agriculture and self-sufficiency in the agricultural, economic and industrial fields; to minimize the effects of the world-wide crises, especially Yemen under the US-Saudi aggression and blockade ".

He reaffirmed that the advocate for the Palestinian people's support and the Palestinian cause was a principled, religious and humanitarian position of the Yemeni people and could not change.

President Al-Mashat also reiterated Yemen's firm position on the side of the axis of resistance and condemned all military, economic or political plots to which it was subjected.

He condemned the ongoing Zionist attacks on Syria and the unjust economic blockade of the United States. Affirms Syria's right to liberate the remaining territories as well as the occupied Syrian Golan.
