SANAA, Three people died and four others were injured after a four-storey building collapsed in Khulan Street opposite al-Thawra Hospital Authority in the capital Sanaa.
During the rescue operation, the Head of the Emergency Operations Room in the capital Sanaa, Abdul-Wahab Sharaf al-Din attributed the collapse as a result of the building was old as the front and middle part of the building collapsed.
He explained that the deaths and injuries were from the grocery and buffet workers on the first floor, indicating that the building did not have residents and the neighboring houses were evacuated as a precaution.
He noted that the leadership of the Capital is monitoring the health status of the injured who have been transferred into al-Thawra Hospital and will work to follow up their treatment.
Rescue teams are still looking for missing persons, Colonel Mohamed Bahish, director-general of the civil defense department branch in the capital Sanaa said.
